Best $20.00 I have ever spent!

Alright, first, let's go back to Friday of this past week.  I was just trying to get all of my homework done and I had gotten it all done just barely and was ready for a nap by the end of the day.  So, when I got back to my dorm I was thinking about taking a nap but then, I would have to get into my loft and change into some other clothes otherwise my clothes would get all wrinkled.  (I am a little too lazy to get into my loft to take a nap sometimes).

I really needed something I could relax on and maybe taking a nap on without just going in my loft to go to sleep.  No room to read on my loft at all, I am basically kissing the ceiling.  I got an e-mail saying that my hall director is leaving the hall, on March 15th, to take up a different position in another location.  I saw her that day and gave her a hug to say goodbye.  She then asked me if I wanted to come and check out her little fire sale she was having in her apartment.  I went and checked out what she all had got a bag of shells for $2 and then saw the futon.  She labeled the mattress for sale for 5 dollars and then I jokingly asked how much she wanted for the frame.  She said, "fifteen bucks to make it an even twenty."  There is one catch it is broken.  The hole for the screw was stripped but it seemed like I could fix it relatively easily.  I had said "I will have the money to you tomorrow if that works but I picked it up today and fixed within 20 minutes of getting it in my room.

The futon mattress alone would have been super comfortable and the frame with it made it a great deal that I couldn't resist.  That was the best $20 dollars I have ever spent for the value of the product.

Now I can read, nap, do homework, and relax on a nice futon that is right there easily accessible all the time.

  1. I'm glad you got a good deal! Sometimes "like used" items are a much better deal than buying new.
